To increase the knowledge and ability of local governmental fleet managers, administrators and technicians; to promote the exchange of information between the members; and to support the functions and the aims of the Association.
In February 2007, several Arkansas municipalities met in Little Rock and decided there should be a fleet association that would provide the opportunity for public fleet personnel throughout the State to meet and share ideas and information. In November 2007, the first meeting of the Arkansas Public Fleet Managers Association (APFMA) was held in Fayetteville. Since then, we make sure to come together at least once a year.
Our goal is to have all Arkansas government fleet professionals and fleet-related service providers as members. Each added member will make our association stronger and enable us to provide better services to our members and to the government agencies they serve.
The 2015 APFMA conference was held in Hot Springs on May 7-8. The conference included a vendor showcase, equipment displays, educational presentations and networking opportunities.
The APFMA Board of Directors wants to thank you our valued business partners, our diamond and silver corporate sponsors, whose generous donations helped to make the conference a reality.
The 2016 APFMA Conference will be held in Little Rock, AR in the spring of 2016. Check back here often for more details and registration information.
Are you a service provider who wants to support the 2016 APFMA Conference? If so, contact us.
In a chapter-issued press release shortly after his appointment to APFMA president, Walter Ederle outlined the Board of Directors' 2015-2016 plans for the chapter:
"Our goal is to be a fleet industry position-leader and resource for all fleet professionals within the State of AR and surrounding States. We aim to have all Arkansas public fleet professionals and fleet-related service providers as members. Each added member will make our association stronger and enable us to provide better services to our members and to the government agencies they serve. Outreach will be a major focus of our chapter development efforts this year."
